Kadi and John visited last evening. Yolany made a tremendous pasta dish, followed by her now famous Tres Leches cake. We had a great time! Patrick, as is his custom, fell asleep on Kadi's chest in about 15 minutes...hmmmm!

Five Months

Mom is already planning Patrick's first birthday party...in March! However, as you all know by now, we here in the Hyde House are always looking for a reason to celebrate! Thus, we throw a little bash on the 15th of each month to celebrate Patrick's presence here on planet Earth. This month--his fifth--was no exception. Mom made a tremendous pastel de tres leches (a cake with three different types of milk) that was absolutely amazing! Here are a couple of photos from the festivities. Enjoy.

Solids, Take Two (Unedited Director's Cut)

I promise that we will not post every one of Patrick's feedings. Having said that, my wife, la jefa, did not think the video of Patrick's first feeding adequately conveyed the magnitude of the event...in cinematic terms, at least. Thus, I am shamelessly presenting Patrick's second go with solid food. Thank you in advance for all of your patience...and understanding.

First Solid Food

Man cannot live on breast milk alone...or so they say. Patrick's first taste of solid food was a little rice cereal mixed with...milk. Mama's, of course. The video is a bit dark, so I added a few stills. A monumental day here at the Hyde House! Enjoy.
